After his arrest and appearance before the prosecutor at the end of police custody, the investigating judge at the El Jadida Court of First Instance has ordered the famous Kick streamer ,Ilyas El Malki, to be imprisoned at the nearby Sidi Moussa prison.
This decision comes after complaints filed against him by human rights activists and Amazigh civil associations. The authorities of the city of El Jadida had arrested the Moroccan YouTuber and Kick streamer Ilyas El Malki last Saturday on charges of “defamation and insult.”
According to a well-informed source, El Malki faces about 15 complaints for mocking the Amazigh people during a live broadcast, stating: “an Amazigh will remain an Amazigh, he has a small mind and a hungry stomach.” The passage in which El Malki speaks about the Amazigh has circulated widely on social media, sparking a heated controversy among the public.
